Answer an RP-initiated logout confirmation (RP-Initiated Logout 1.0 §2)
/v1/auth/logout/confirmCompletes or abandons a logout parked by /end_session. The handle is
single-use: the parked request is consumed whether the user confirms or
declines, so a handle left in browser history cannot sign anyone out later.
On confirmation the session is revoked, participating relying parties are
notified, and redirectTo is the already-validated
post_logout_redirect_uri with state echoed. On refusal nothing is
revoked and redirectTo is the provider's own page — §3 forbids the
post-logout redirect when the logout did not happen.
- Cookiestring
The request Cookie header; the interactive login / pending-auth session cookie, and the browser marker a sign-in is recognized by, are read from it.
- Originstring
Browser Origin, checked (with Sec-Fetch-Site) as a same-origin/CSRF guard.
- Sec-Fetch-Sitestring
Fetch metadata; only same-origin is trusted (CSRF guard).
- Content-Typestring
Must be application/json — a JSON body cannot be a CORS simple request, closing form-based CSRF.
Request body
The user's answer to a parked RP-initiated logout, plus the opaque handle naming it. The handle carries no meaning — the validated post_logout_redirect_uri, state and client_id are held server-side, so the confirmation round trip cannot introduce a destination that was never checked.
